Our wool pellets are made from the wool of sheep raised here on our farm. After shearing, wool that isn’t suitable for spinning is cleaned and compressed into small pellets that are easy to handle and store.
Gardeners often mix wool pellets into potting soil before planting, blend them into garden beds during soil preparation, or add a small handful to containers and around established plants. Because they’re lightweight and simple to work with, they can be added wherever you’re already tending soil. One pound covers approximately 30 square feet.
These pellets are simply another practical use for the wool our sheep produce each year. Turning it into pellets helps make use of a natural farm by-product that might otherwise go unused, while offering gardeners a straightforward way to incorporate wool into their soil.
