Two Bean Sausage & Rice Soup

Soup, the perfect comfort meal! This dish is everything you could want for a cold winter’s day. Substitute some of our organic, grass-fed beef to make it into a stew!

Two Bean Sausage Rice Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jacob’s Cattle beans
  • 1 cup Jacob’s Cattle Gold beans
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced salt to taste

Instructions

Soak and cook beans in water until fork tender. Brown sausage while beans are cooking. Drain and rinse beans. Combine all ingredients and cook for 30-45 minutes longer.
